R&R have gone their separate ways.
While confirming that he and Rosalía have broken up and ended their engagement, Rauw Alejandro fired back at cheating allegations surrounding their split.
"Yes, a few months ago Rosi and I ended our engagement," he wrote in Spanish on Instagram Stories July 26. "There are thousands of problems that could cause a breakup, but in our case it was not due to third parties or infidelity."
As for why he decided to speak up, Rauw explained that he didn't want cheating rumors to smear his two-year romance with the "Despechá" singer.
"During the space that I am taking to assimilate all of this, erroneous public allegations have emerged," the 30-year-old added, "and out of the respect I have for her, our families and all that we lived through, I could not stay silent and continue to watch how they try to destroy the story of the most real love that God has permitted me to live."
He then directed a message to his fans, acknowledging that they've been part of his professional accomplishments, as well as "all the happy moments that I have lived as a couple." The "Todo de ti" artist added, "I never saw myself in a position of even thinking that I would have to give public statements on this matter that is so private to me."
He concluded his post with a shout-out to his supporters, noting, "I love my fans very much, thanks for being there."
Rosalía has not yet publicly spoken about her breakup with Rauw, though she did thank her fans on July 24 for their love amid the end of her Motomami tour.
"Motomami has been a hurricane that has brought and taken away so many things in my life that I don't even know where to start," she wrote in Spanish. "Thanks to all the Motomamis of the world for having given me so much love during all this time."
The split comes nearly five months after the pair announced their engagement in a music video for their collaborative track "BESO," one of three songs on their joint EP, RR.
Rosalía and Rauw made their relationship Instagram official in September 2021. Just a few months later, Rauw gushed about the secret behind their romance to Rolling Stone.
"There's people that love drama, and we're not like that," he told the outlet. "There's a bunch of pop stars where it's like the whole telenovela, and I hate that s--t. I really hate that s--t. We're real stuff."
E! News has reached out to Rosalía's rep but hasn't received a comment.
